Streetscape Enhancement Scheme 2026
Clare County Council has today (Tuesday, November 11, 2025) announced the launch of a Streetscape Enhancement Scheme for Ennis in the aftermath of the Public Realm Works.
As the Ennis Public Realm work reaches a conclusion, businesses are encouraged to avail of the opportunity this Spring to refresh their shop fronts, with Clare County Council providing support with a grant of up to €1,000.
The funds can be used for painting, improvements to facades, and repairs to gutters and downpipes.
The scheme is available to all owners and occupiers of commercial properties within the Ennis Architectural Conservation Area and is also available to standalone residential properties premises who directly adjoin the public realm enhancement work. Details of eligibility is available on Clare County Councils website.
The online application system, accessible through the Council’s website, will open on February 2 and remain available for over three weeks, closing on February 27, 2026.

The Ennis Streetscape Enhancement Scheme aims to support individual businesses and further enhance that offering.”
